Zagreb brewery that got into Ratebeer Global Top 10 with one of the best porters in the world

The brewery that started the revolution of Croatian craft, Zmajska, got among the Ratebeer Top Ten new breweries as soon as it opened, with their porter ale among the top 15.

Owned by Andrey Čapka, one of the few beer enthusiasts that brought on this new, lucrative industry, Zmajska is known for the quality of its IPAs, porters, and stouts.

Situated far from the city center, the brewery deserves a visit, just to sample some of their eight taps, or, if you prefer, bottled beers of their own production.

The space is simple, with high chairs and tables offering a view of inox tanks and wooden barrels used to produce their supreme beer.
