OTTO & FRANK
Otto & Frank is an urban bar & bistro located in the very heart of Zagreb, in the popular tourist buzz zone of Tkalčićeva Street. It’s named after the owner’s pets — Otto the dog and Frank the cat.
Over the years, Otto & Frank has become a recognizable destination for foodies from around the world, but it’s also a favourite place among Zagreb locals who enjoy great food and drink. That’s hardly surprising, given that the soul of the place is its owner Ana, who traded a successful marketing career for one in food biz — driven by her passion for good food, especially desserts, which she personally crafts for Otto & Frank. Always on the lookout for new flavour combinations, with modern takes on traditional Zagreb dishes and popular international comfort food, the Otto & Frank team creates a unique fusion of local cuisine and bistronomy — a truly authentic and cool Zagreb experience.
Otto & Frank offers both high and low seating, in two cozy interior rooms and on the terrace. The staff is exceptionally friendly and always happy to recommend seasonal or daily specials.

What is served?
Otto & Frank offers a modern bistro menu with an emphasis on fresh, local and creatively prepared ingredients — from regular dishes to daily offer that changes with the season.
The signature Zagreb Breakfast is a dish that is always on the menu and is served all day. It comprises a breaded poached egg on toast with grilled ham and salad, with cheese and sour cream, horseradish, radishes and spring onions. The breakfast menu also includes homemade granola, oatmeal, French toast and sunny-side-up eggs, while hearty burgers and crostini start at noon.
Summer favourites are stuffed peppers and mashed potatoes, zucchini fritters and dumplings with plums or apricots. The daily menu also includes refreshing soups, burrata salad, seasonal pasta, salmon with hoisin, and desserts such as espresso martini tiramisu, semifreddo and strawberry shortcake pie with almonds and mascarpone cream with tonka.
Beverages include artisan coffee, organic teas and fresh juices, a large selection of wines, craft beers and cocktails as well as soft drinks and homemade iced tea.

What our chefs had?
Summer at Otto & Frank means stuffed peppers and zucchini fritters, and that's what the Delicious Zagreb team surely didn't want to miss.
We also couldn’t resist a refreshing cucumber soup and a rich chicken salad.
Cold cucumber and yogurt soup with dill and warm zucchini fritters with cream on a lamb’s lettuce bed with white beans and purple onions were the perfect start to a summer lunch, accompanied by rosé and homemade iced tea.
This was followed by stuffed peppers with creamy mashed potatoes and a rich chicken club salad.

Every visit to Otto & Frank reminds us that Zagreb is a very popular tourist destination. Having lunch on Tkalča — as locals call the famous Tkalčićeva Street — feels like taking a trip to a European metropolis.
